Job summary

The City of St. Peters is seeking an experienced GIS professional to coordinate the development, implementation, and operation of the City’s Geographic Information System.

This role provides technical leadership, supports staff through training and assistance, and helps ensure reliable geographic information for informed city operations and decisions. Responsibilities include overseeing GIS programs, developing data standards, training staff, and collaborating on citywide GIS plans while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field; four years of applicable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of GIS design, implementation, and management experience is preferred.
• Experience with ESRI software and spatial databases is required.
• Experience maintaining websites and data modeling skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the development, implementation, and daily operation of the City's GIS.
• Supervise staff including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and involvement in hiring decisions.
• Develop standards, workflows, and processing procedures for GIS data across the City.
