Job summary

The City of St. Peters is seeking an experienced GIS professional to coordinate the development, implementation, and operation of the City's Geographic Information System.

This role provides technical leadership for citywide GIS operations, supports staff through training, and helps ensure accurate geographic information to support city operations and decision-making. You will lead citywide GIS initiatives, supervise staff, establish standards and workflows, and ensure reliable geographic data

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.
• Bachelor's degree and four years of GIS-related experience, or equivalent.
• Experience with ESRI software and GIS data management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee GIS development, implementation, and daily operation.
• Supervise staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Develop standards and workflows for GIS data used citywide.
• Provide GIS training and technical assistance to staff.
• Respond to user requests and implement GIS solutions.
• Maintain data quality and integrity through QC procedures.
• Coordinate city and county GIS plans and strategies.
• Maintain city GIS web resources and related platforms.
• Assist with budgets and policies related to GIS and networks.
• Work with spatial databases and manage geographic information.
• Handle confidential information and follow safety standards.
