Job summary

The City of St. Peters is seeking a knowledgeable planning professional to support planning, zoning, development, and economic development across the community.

You will interpret regulations, review plans, and work with developers and residents to facilitate responsible growth. Key duties include coordinating petitions, supporting comprehensive planning updates, and preparing research and maps for committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Planning or related field and two years of applicable experience or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide zoning information and assistance on signs, setbacks, and other zoning matters.
• Review plats and site plans for compliance with City requirements.
• Coordinate annexation, rezoning, special use permits, variances, and related petitions.
• Support economic development efforts and coordinate with developers and businesses.
• Prepare research, maps, and presentations for Planning and Zoning Commission and other groups.
• Maintain records of rezoning, variances, and development activities.
• Assist with GIS data updates in coordination with the GIS Department.
