Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior leader to manage a technical team focused on geothermal exploration and development, field expansions, and asset optimization in the Reno, NV area.

The role requires a Master of Science or Engineering in a relevant subject, with a Doctorate being advantageous, and at least 10 years of related experience. Strong PMI-based project management experience (CAPM/PMP) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Engineering in a relevant subject is required.
• Doctorate degree in a relevant subject is advantageous.
• At least 10 years of related experience is required.
• Experience in PMI project management framework is preferred (CAPM or PMP).
• Previous experience managing a resource-extraction team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a technical team focused on geothermal exploration and development, field expansions, and asset optimization.
• Oversee geophysics, prospecting, and GIS programs along with support for exploration.
• Conduct project reviews and ensure technical work is world-class.
• Manage project schedules and budgets using appropriate software.
• Present or publish at professional conferences as needed.
• Maintain an effective training program for the team.
