Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Project Manager for Denver or Tucson with deep expertise in tailings and geotechnical engineering within mining. Lead teams, manage complex projects, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships while leveraging regulatory insight and entrepreneurial drive.

The role demands experience across geotechnical investigations, tailings management, and heavy civil design, with a strong track record of delivering strategic growth and exceptional client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Recognized expertise in tailings/geotechnical engineering; consulting/mining experience valued.
• Professional designation (PE) preferred; strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects across multiple service areas and subcontractors with schedule and client challenges.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and development of multidisciplinary staff.
• Provide expert technical support within and outside the organization.
