Job summary

Kleinfelder in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to lead complex geotechnical projects from planning through execution. You will coordinate client needs, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, and supervise field exploration and lab testing.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 9+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff in a cross-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of related geotechnical experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) and multi-state licensure readiness.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently or in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate with clients to understand their needs.
• Manage project portfolios for safety, budget, quality and schedule.
• Safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection and analysis.
• Mentor junior staff and project geotechnical professionals.
• Develop scopes for field and office tasks and perform analyses.
• Coordinate medium to large multi-disciplinary projects with senior guidance.
• Prepare or review designs, reports and calculations for complex projects.
