Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead geotechnical and geostructural projects from proposal through final invoicing. You will supervise junior staff, mentor teammates, and present technical solutions to clients while upholding ECS core values.

The role emphasizes business development, project management, and ensuring profitability across transportation, power, and construction projects in a fast-paced consulting practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in geotechnical/construction materials projects.
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
• A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required or obtainability within three months of hire date.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of geotechnical reports and geostructural designs.
• Manage geotechnical engineering projects including field and laboratory tasks.
• Oversee geostructural design projects such as earth retention systems and deep foundations.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise training.
• Lead meetings with clients and ensure timely delivery of reports and solutions.
• Ensure contracts, pay apps, and invoicing processes are managed for all projects.
