Job summary

ECS Limited in San Antonio, TX seeks a Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer to lead key client projects from proposal through delivery. The role oversees geotechnical and CMT work, reviews technical reports, and drives quality, client satisfaction, and financial performance.

You will provide leadership to project teams, mentor staff, contribute to business development, and maintain strong client relationships while upholding ECS core values in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required
• A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required in each state of work, or ability to obtain local license within three months
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Advanced project management and consulting skills
• Strong business development and client relationship skills
• Extensive knowledge of geotechnical principles and applications
• Strong working knowledge of construction materials testing and ASTM standards
• Proficiency with geotechnical software
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a consulting environment
• Ability to mentor and develop staff

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages geotechnical and CMT projects from proposal through completion
• Oversees preparation and review of geotechnical reports, including technical analysis and recommendations
• Ensures all project tasks from proposal to final invoice are completed accurately and on time
• Manages project budgets, change orders, invoicing, and collections
• Reviews field reports and ensures quality, accuracy, and completeness
• Prepares and oversees proposals and contracts
• Serves as primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
• Hosts and participates in project meetings to present findings and provide technical solutions
• Supervises field investigations, drilling, and testing activities
• Provides technical oversight and verifies calculations and recommendations
• Mentors and develops junior staff, technicians, and project managers
• Supports staffing decisions and resource allocation
• Performs other duties as assigned
