Job summary

ECS Limited in San Antonio seeks a Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer to lead geotechnical and CMT projects from proposal to closeout. You will manage client relations, oversee reports, and ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

You will mentor junior staff, support staffing decisions, and contribute to business development while upholding ECS Core Values in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience.
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
• A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required in each state you work, or you must obtain via reciprocity within 3 months of hire date.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Advanced project management and consulting skills.
• Strong business development and client relationship skills.
• Extensive knowledge of geotechnical principles and applications.
• Strong working knowledge of construction materials testing and ASTM standards.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a consulting environment.
• Ability to mentor and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Leads geotechnical and CMT projects from proposal through completion.
• Oversees preparation and review of geotechnical reports with analyses and recommendations.
• Ensures all tasks from proposal to final invoice are completed on time.
• Manages project budgets, change orders, invoicing, and collections.
• Reviews field reports for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Prepares and oversees proposals and contracts.
• Serves as primary client contact and project stakeholder liaison.
• Hosts and participates in project meetings to present findings and solutions.
• Supervises field investigations, drilling, and testing activities.
• Provides technical oversight and verifies calculations and recommendations.
• Mentors and develops junior staff and project managers.
• Supports staffing decisions and resource allocation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
