Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical leadership, manage complex projects, and grow our geotechnical practice across the Midwest.

The role emphasizes solving challenging engineering problems, mentoring engineers, and expanding client relationships. We are open to remote arrangements with a strong preference for candidates within the Midwest region, within reasonable commuting distance of a UES branch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s strongly preferred.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience, including technical leadership and complex project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of subsurface investigations, foundation engineering, geotechnical analysis, and engineering design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert on geotechnical engineering projects of significant complexity and scope.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating geotechnical input for large infrastructure, transportation, energy, and commercial projects.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable geotechnical design solutions.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring delivery of high-quality work products.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships, leading proposal efforts and negotiations for major contracts.
