UES, a leading geotechnical engineering and environmental firm, seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to oversee complex projects and guide the team in technical excellence. You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and client relations, and contribute to standards and research initiatives.

The role requires extensive collaboration across transportation, energy, water, and healthcare sectors, with travel as needed to support fieldwork and projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience, with senior/lead responsibilities.
• PE license required.
• Expertise in geotechnical modeling, soil-structure interaction, ground improvement.
• Proven track record managing large-scale, complex projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Active involvement in professional organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert on geotechnical projects of significant complexity.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across infrastructure, energy, and commercial sectors.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective geotechnical design solutions.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver high-quality work.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships; lead proposals and negotiations.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and uphold technical standards.
• Represent the company at industry events and associations.
• Contribute to company technical standards and research initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality control procedures.
