Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to manage and execute geotechnical projects from planning through completion, ensuring technical, budgetary, and regulatory compliance.

You will develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules while leading geotechnical analyses and risk assessments. You’ll coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, oversee quality control, mentor junior engineers and field staff, and travel to project sites as needed, maintaining safety and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables to meet client and business objectives.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with geotechnical engineering best practices.
• Oversee quality control and adherence to standards (ASTM, AASHTO, FHWA, ASCE, etc.) and regulatory guidelines.
• Lead risk assessments and geotechnical hazard evaluations for infrastructure, environmental remediation, and construction projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders for seamless project execution.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and field staff.
• Travel to project sites to conduct inspections and provide engineering support.
• Uphold safety protocols and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety.
