Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Wexford, PA is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical design and project execution with the Earth & Environment group. The role covers site investigations, reports, and coordination with clients across the Appalachian Basin.

The candidate will mentor junior staff, manage budgets and schedules, and engage with regulators and stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant solutions for infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with geotechnical focus.
• 5–7 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of engineering research techniques and protocols.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, colleagues, and third-party groups.
• Proficiency with technical writing and geotechnical software.

Responsibilities

• Act as design engineer and manage projects, with emphasis on geotechnical engineering, design, and geohazard identification and monitoring.
• Work with cross-functional teams on engineering projects that involve multiple sectors, fields, clients, regulators, and project sites.
• Prepare documents and review those prepared by junior staff, including drawings, specifications, work plans, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Scope, budget, execute, and interpret field work, reconnaissance, geotechnical instrumentation, and subsurface explorations.
• Perform professional geotechnical engineering work, investigations, and analysis of site conditions.
• Prepare geotechnical recommendations reports and construct plans/cost estimates with safety/phasing considerations.
