Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead multidisciplinary projects and advance our geotechnical capabilities within the Construction Materials Testing group. You will mentor staff, manage complex field and office tasks, and work with long-term clients across the southeastern US.

This role requires a PE in SC or NC, 6–8 years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a geotechnical focus.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in SC or NC, with ability to license in additional southeastern states within six months.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for site meetings and client development.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert interpretation of analytical data for a wide range of projects.
• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling, and field data collection.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and client presentations with technical accuracy.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
