Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Atlanta, GA to lead geotechnical projects from planning through delivery. You will direct technical activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build strong client relationships to deliver successful outcomes for public and private sector clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, or a related engineering field.
Minimum of 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience with some project management responsibilities.
On track to obtain EIT or PE license.

Responsibilities

Project Oversight: manage geotechnical engineering assignments from start to finish, meeting technical standards and deadlines.
Engineering Evaluation: assess subsurface conditions, soil testing results, and field investigation findings.
Reporting & Growth Initiatives: develop technical reports, proposals, and project budgets while supporting new business.
Client Engagement & Collaboration: work closely with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve issues and keep work progressing.
Mentorship & Team Support: guide less-experienced engineers and promote teamwork and safety.
