Job summary

WSB is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex projects for public and private clients in Texas. You will oversee conceptual design through construction, ensuring quality and fostering client relationships, while mentoring junior staff and driving strategic pursuits.

The role requires a PE license in Texas, 15+ years in the A/E/C field, and proficiency with major geotechnical software and design tools. Office-based with potential for remote coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas required.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in the A/E/C industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead inter-disciplinary teams in the design and delivery of projects.
• Direct the development of project plans, technical designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Serve as the Engineer of Record, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide high-level technical oversight and review of calculations, models, and deliverables.
• Lead and delegate project schedules, budgets, and resource planning for timely delivery.
• Lead client communication and present technical concepts clearly.
• Identify and resolve complex engineering and construction challenges with innovative solutions.
• Support strategic pursuits including proposal development and scope definition.
