Job summary

WSB is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead the technical execution of complex projects for public and private clients. You will oversee project development from conceptual design through construction, driving innovation, ensuring quality, and fostering strong client relationships.

As a technical expert, you will mentor junior staff, manage schedules and budgets, and serve as the Engineer of Record in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering required.
• Texas PE license required.
• Pre-certification in TxDOT Geotechnical/Highway categories preferred.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation methods and field instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead inter-disciplinary teams in design and delivery of projects.
• Direct development of project plans, technical designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Serve as the Engineer of Record, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Provide high-level technical oversight and review of calculations, models, and deliverables.
• Lead and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource planning for timely delivery.
• Lead client communication and present technical updates clearly.
• Identify and resolve complex engineering and construction challenges with innovative solutions.
• Support strategic pursuits, including proposal development and scope definition.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, agencies and subconsultants for business growth.
• Participate in QA and process improvement initiatives.
• Represent the firm at industry events and stakeholder meetings.
