Job summary

Eightelevengroup in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and deliver geotechnical solutions for major infrastructure projects, including bridges, dams, levees, and buildings.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of geotechnical experience, a Civil or Geological Engineering degree (Master’s preferred), and a U.S. PE license (Ohio preferred). Travel for site visits and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 6 years geotechnical engineering experience.
• PE license in the U.S. (Ohio preferred).
• Experience with ODOT projects or U.S. Army Corps of Engineers highly desirable.
• Willingness for occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical design and analysis for bridges, buildings, dams, and levees.
• Oversee field investigations, inspections, and geotechnical reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and review technical work.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support proposals and occasional marketing activities.
• Ensure safety compliance and represent company values.
