Arcadis seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for the Gateway Tunnel Project in the NYC/NJ area, focusing on surface alignment and complex deep foundation design. You will inspect foundations, retaining structures, underpinning, and excavation support in soft ground conditions, coordinating subsurface investigations and reporting.

Ideal candidates have 12–15 years geotechnical experience, NJ P.E. license, and proficiency with major software (LPILE, GROUP, FB-MultiPier, Plaxis).

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor in Civil Engineering and MS in geotechnical engineering.
• NJ PE license and 12–15 years of related geotechnical experience.
• Proficiency with LPILE, GROUP, FB-MultiPier and other geotechnical tools.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, NJDOT and Amtrak standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Plan and coordinate geotechnical subsurface investigations.
• Prepare and review GDRs, BGRs, and foundation design reports.
• Perform geotechnical design for underground structures and foundations.
• Ground characterization and deep foundation design (shafts, piles, micropiles).
• Perform slope stability, seepage, liquefaction, and seismic site evaluations.
• Prepare design calculations and engineering reports.
• Coordinate instrumentation and construction monitoring.
• Provide engineering support during construction and QA/QC.
