Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a geotechnical/civil engineer to lead complex designs for foundations, dams, and geotechnical projects. The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor's in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or Geologic Engineering, and approximately 7 years of related experience.

Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or Geologic Engineering or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license.
7 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

With general direction, creates excavation, dewatering, foundations and related geotechnical designs.
Engineering designs of basic to high complexity to meet client project requirements.
Reviews draft designs for regulatory compliance and signs off on completed designs.
Provides technical guidance to junior staff and reviews work for quality.
Meets with clients to review design needs and opportunities.
Mentors junior staff and supports growth within the discipline.
