Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a geotechnical/civil engineering professional to lead complex foundation, dam and geo-environmental projects. You will apply engineering design principles, review compliance with regs, and guide junior staff on multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or Geologic Engineering, a PE license, and 7+ years of related experience. Travel 20–40% may be required; domestic and international travel possible.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Designs excavation, dewatering, foundations, dams/reservoirs/levees, geo-environmental projects and related works.
• Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations; signs off on completed designs.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff; mentors and develops them for future growth.
• May supervise the work of junior engineers on project scope and deliverables.
