Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC seeks an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support projects across power, renewables, telecom, gas and municipal sectors. The role focuses on geotechnical design and analysis within a multidisciplinary team, delivering soils reports and construction support.

The candidate will supervise soil borings, prepare reports, and coordinate with engineers to ensure timely project delivery across multiple locations, including travel between sites.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in geotechnical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgement capabilities.
• Working knowledge of design software such as Mathcad, PYWall, LPILE and Slide.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed calculations and documentation for earth retention designs.
• Prepare and/or review calculations for shallow/deep foundations, bearing capacity and slope stability.
• Perform dewatering design and coordinate drilling and lab testing.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve design challenges.
• Maintain organized project files and assist with proposal preparation.

Education
