Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support utility infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to soil borings supervision, geotechnical report prep, and analysis and design, coordinating with engineers and admin staff for timely delivery.

Responsibilities include preparation of calculations, reports, specs, and drawings, plus collaboration with structural engineers to resolve design challenges and support project development.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical focus.
• Minimum 5 years of geotechnical experience.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment abilities.
• Familiar with Mathcad and design software PYWall, LPILE, Slide.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed earth retention design calculations.
• Review shallow/deep foundation calculations for bearing capacity and slope stability.
• Perform dewatering design.
• Coordinate drilling and lab testing.
• Collaborate across disciplines to resolve design challenges.
• Maintain organized project files and archives.
• Contribute to proposal preparation.
