Job summary

HBK Engineering is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support projects within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project managers. This role focuses on geotechnical designs for utility infrastructure across power, renewables, telecom, gas, and municipal sectors.

The ideal candidate will contribute to client success through technical excellence, project execution, and coordination with structural teams. Multiple U.S. locations support the role.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical concentration.
• Minimum of 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed calculations and documentation for earth retention designs.
• Review calculations for shallow/deep foundations, bearing capacity, and slope stability.
• Perform dewatering design.
• Coordinate drilling and lab testing.
• Collaborate across disciplines to resolve design challenges.
• Maintain organized project electronic files and archives.
• Contribute to proposal preparation.
