Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC in Chicago seeks an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support a multidisciplinary team on utility, power, renewables, telecom, gas and municipal projects. You will supervise soil borings, prepare geotechnical reports, perform analyses and coordinate with engineers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality designs across the HBK network.

Required is a B.S./M.S. in Civil Engineering (geotechnical), 5+ years of experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical concentration.
• Minimum 5 years of geotechnical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical judgment.
• Proficient with Mathcad and design software PYWall, LPILE, Slide.

Responsibilities

• Produce calculations for earth retention designs.
• Prepare and review shallow/deep foundation calculations.
• Perform dewatering design and coordinate drilling/lab testing.
• Collaborate across disciplines to solve design challenges.
• Maintain organized project files and assist in proposals.
