Job summary

Kleinfelder’s Geotechnical team in Boston is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead challenging projects across municipal, commercial, transportation, energy and water sectors. You will supervise field activities, coordinate tasks, review submittals, and prepare geotechnical analyses and reports for design and construction.

The role requires 6–10 years of experience, a PE license, and the ability to travel and work in varied conditions.

Qualifications

6 to 10 years of related experience.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Willingness to travel and perform field work, including inclement weather.

Responsibilities

Direct junior staff to perform field activities including geotechnical drilling, laboratory testing and construction observations.
Coordinate geotechnical tasks and manage medium to large size geotechnical projects.
Review construction submittals and daily field reports.
Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and prepare geotechnical reports for design and construction.
Mentor junior staff and prepare contract specifications and drawings.
Interrelate with external clients and subcontractors.
Provide technical support on municipal, commercial, transportation, energy and water projects; experience on design/build is preferred.
