Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates (HCEA) is an employee-owned firm providing geotechnical engineering services to public and private sector clients. The candidate will work with our geotechnical and materials testing/inspections teams on a wide range of projects, including preparing geotechnical reports and supporting field staff.

This senior role requires a Maryland PE, 12+ years of experience, and mentoring capabilities, with relocation to the Frederick area preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 12+ years of geotechnical consulting experience.
• P.E. license in Maryland or reciprocity within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical and materials testing/inspections projects.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and calculations.
• Review daily field inspection reports and participate in site visits.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff.
