General Responsibilities

The candidate will collaborate with our geotechnical and materials testing/inspections departments and handle a variety of projects for public and private clients. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: test boring/test pit observations, laboratory analysis, geotechnical report and calculation preparation, managing field staff, reviewing daily field reports, and performing on-site construction materials testing services.

Requirements

• Must be local to the Northern New Jersey market with extensive local industry experience and relationships.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Must meet pre-employment requirements.
• Reliable vehicle suitable for use on construction sites.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering consulting industry.
• Professional Engineering license in New Jersey.
• Familiarity with New Jersey-specific codes and requirements for geotechnical explorations.
• Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., Gint, L-Pile, MSEW, etc.).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in business development.
• Ability to interpret engineering and construction plans and specifications.
