Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntecs culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that youd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks.

Some of the key responsibilities may include :

• Civil design, landfill design, vapor mitigation design, and site layout;
• Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage;
• Geotechnical and environmental site characterization;
• Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
• Small project / task management and proposal preparation support;
• Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
• Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.

Education and Licensure :

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field. (required)
• Advanced degree in earth science, environmental engineering or a related field. (preferred)
• Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.). (required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications :

• At least 8 years directly relevant experience in a consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software (e.g., slope stability). (required)
• Knowledge of numerical modeling tools. (preferred)
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
• Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
• Field work and overnight travel may be required.
• Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
