Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates in Frederick, MD seeks a senior geotechnical engineer to lead technically diverse projects for public and private clients. You will produce geotechnical reports, support field teams, and review site data, with potential advancement to Principal based on qualifications.

Candidate should have a PE in Maryland or reciprocity within 3 months, 12+ years in geotechnical consulting, and strong communication and business development skills to grow relationships in

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/geotechnical degree required.
• P.E. license in Maryland or reciprocity within 3 months of hire.
• 12+ years' progressive geotechnical consulting experience.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff.
• Strong communication and report review abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and prepare reports/calculations.
• Provide technical support to field staff and review daily field reports.
• Conduct occasional project site visits and mentor staff.
• Possibly be recategorized as Managing Principal based on qualifications.
