Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a senior geotechnical engineer with 12+ years of progressive experience to lead complex projects for public and private clients.

The successful candidate will prepare geotechnical reports, perform field support and occasional site visits, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with our geotechnical and materials testing teams in a fast-paced, ESOP-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 12+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in New Jersey or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 3 months.
• Local to Northern New Jersey or willing to relocate; strong client relationships a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical reports and calculations and provide field support.
• Review daily construction inspection reports and perform occasional site visits.
• Occasionally progress to managing principal depending on qualifications.
