Job summary

NV5, Inc. in Ventura, CA seeks a Senior-Level Geotechnical/Civil/Materials Engineer to serve as Engineering Manager for design, inspection, and testing projects.

The candidate will also manage construction materials testing services for school and public infrastructure, working with a multidisciplinary team. Requirements include a California PE, 5+ years in testing/inspection, and DSA/Caltrans experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license in California is required/preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in testing and inspection of construction materials.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in special inspections or supervision of special inspection services.
• DSA/HCAI and Caltrans experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Manager for lab testing and special inspection services on DSA/HCAI, Caltrans and local projects.
• Plan, assign, and review the work of inspectors and technicians.
• Review field and laboratory reports and plans/specifications.
• Manage projects from inception to completion and meet client expectations on quality, budget, and schedule.
• Lead safety efforts and develop staff through recruitment, training, and mentoring.
