Job summary

B&A is seeking a Senior Exploitation Specialist (Data Steward) to join a contract with a federal government client in support of NGA mission operations at an Analysis Office, NGA Washington (NCE) in Springfield, VA. The role centers on structuring and maintaining geospatial data so that mission teams can reliably discover, access, and exploit trusted spatial information.

This is a Senior-level position (Level 4).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience (combination of years, certifications, and education may be used).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Strong understanding of GIS, data schemas, and georeferencing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain spatial data across enterprise geodatabases and SDEs.
• Apply GIS, data schemas, and georeferencing best practices to structure geospatial information.
• Develop extraction and metadata specifications to ensure discoverable, well-documented data.
• Design and optimize RDBMS architectures with data normalization and performance tuning.
• Use ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS Online, Portal, Excel, Access, and SQL for data storage and maintenance.
• Apply ontology concepts to information systems and data relationships.
• Collaborate across teams and provide senior-level direction and QA.
