Job summary

Bart & Associates, LLC seeks a Senior Exploitation Specialist / Data Steward to support a federal contract at NGA Washington (NCE) in Springfield, VA. The role focuses on structuring and maintaining geospatial data so mission teams can access and exploit trusted spatial information.

The Senior will lead tasks, provide technical direction, and coordinate with NGA and Intelligence Community teams to ensure data quality and system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience or combination of qualifications accepted.
• Experience with GIS data and geodatabases required.
• Knowledge of data extraction and metadata standards.
• Familiarity with enterprise geodatabases (SDEs).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain spatial data across geodatabases and SDEs.
• Apply GIS and geo-referencing best practices to structure data.
• Develop extraction and metadata specifications for discoverability.
• Design and optimize RDBMS architectures and normalization.
• Utilize ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS Online, Portal, Excel, Access, and SQL for data management.
• Collaborate across technical and mission-focused teams and provide senior direction.
