Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Principal Applied AI Scientist to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions for large-scale geospatial data. You will build end-to-end pipelines, productionize multimodal models, and collaborate across product and research teams to translate complex Earth intelligence challenges into practical systems.

The role requires senior ML experience, strong Python and ML framework skills, and the ability to work remotely from the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years building and deploying ML systems in production.
• Experience designing end-to-end ML pipelines with data processing, training automation and scalable inference.
• Hands-on with deep learning models in vision-language, multimodal, reasoning, LLMs, or CV/geospatial AI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven applications that transform large-scale geospatial data into actionable insights and predictive intelligence.
• Build end-to-end AI/ML pipelines including ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and production inference.
• Productionize reasoning models, VLMs, and multimodal systems integrating imagery, geospatial signals, and structured data.
• Architect scalable training and experimentation frameworks with automated pipelines and reproducible evaluation.
• Create synthetic datasets and test harnesses to validate model performance in real-world environments.
• Collaborate with domain experts, engineers, product managers, and researchers to translate Earth intelligence challenges into deployable AI solutions.
• Optimize models for latency, cost efficiency, and reliability on cloud infrastructure and containers.
• Maintain production inference systems with monitoring, versioning, retraining, and performance tracking.
