Job summary

Vantor in the United States seeks an experienced ML/AI Engineer to design, deploy, and scale AI-driven applications that transform geospatial data into actionable insights. You’ll build end-to-end pipelines, train and productionize models, and collaborate across research, engineering, and product teams.

Requirements include 5+ years in production ML, a MS/PhD, strong Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow, and experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed training.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD or equivalent practical experience in CS/ML/AI or related field.
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying ML systems in production.
• End-to-end ML pipelines including data processing, training automation, evaluation, and scalable inference.
• Deep learning experience in VLMs, multimodal learning, reasoning models, LLMs, CV or geospatial AI.
• Strong Python skills and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Experience deploying models in production with cloud infrastructure and containers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven apps that transform geospatial data into insights.
• Build and operate end-to-end ML pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, training, and inference.
• Productionize reasoning models and multimodal AI systems with imagery and structured data.
• Architect training/experimentation frameworks, automation, benchmarking, and reproducible eval.
• Create synthetic datasets and test harnesses to validate model performance in real-world ops.
• Collaborate with domain experts, software engineers, PMs, and researchers to translate Earth intelligence problems into deployable AI.
• Optimize models and inference for scalability, latency, cost, and reliability on cloud infra.
• Maintain production inference systems with monitoring, versioning, retraining workflows.
• Stay current with foundation models, generative AI, multimodal learning, and practical deployments.
