Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Geomatics Specialist to join the Midwest Region Geomatics Team in Minneapolis, MN, Burnsville, MN, Kansas City, MO, or Detroit, MI. You will lead field crews performing ALTA/NSPS surveys, SLAM mobile scanning, and terrestrial LiDAR for diverse projects, ensuring high accuracy and timely deliverables.

You will manage field operations on complex projects, produce boundary and control reports, and support digital twin workflows.

Qualifications

Minimum of 9 years of relevant field surveying experience, including leadership of survey crews.
Expertise in dimensional control surveying and construction layout.
Experience operating SLAM scanners and terrestrial LiDAR systems.
Strong understanding of survey control, coordinate systems, and geodetic principles.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor survey crew members in field operations, emphasizing safety, quality, and efficiency.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate field-to-finish workflows.
Provide training on GNSS, dimensional control methods, SLAM scanning, and terrestrial LiDAR technologies.
Plan and execute field activities focusing on safety, productivity, and quality outcomes.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders during field operations, including active construction environments.
Prepare detailed field notes, reports, and QA/QC documentation for survey deliverables.
