Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to join the Environmental Services team in Long Beach, CA, working hybrid from the Long Beach office. The role focuses on indoor air, soil vapor, methane, soil and groundwater assessment, mitigation, and remediation, with responsibilities spanning leadership, business development, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science or engineering field required.
• 12+ years of related work experience required.
• 5+ years at an environmental consulting firm required.
• Experience designing mitigation/remedial measures (soil vapor extraction and vapor intrusion/methane mitigation systems).
• Experience with methane ordinances in southern California preferred.
• Professional registration (P.E. or P.G.) required.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership within indoor air, soil vapor, methane, soil, and groundwater assessment, mitigation, and remediation practice area and growth.
• Developing new and existing clients.
• Mentoring staff and supporting addition of new staff as needed.
• Managing and being financially and technically responsible for projects.
• Provide technical review of reports and mentorship/development of staff report preparation.
