SoCalGas is seeking an Environmental Science Senior II to lead environmental evaluation and permitting for major projects in California. This hybrid role blends on-site oversight with remote collaboration, typically four days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of related experience in environmental science or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with CEQA/NEPA and environmental permitting.
• Ability to lead complex environmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as environmental lead and coordinate studies and approvals.
• Provide technical leadership for CEQA/NEPA documents and permit applications.
• Coordinate field activities and manage permitting schedules.
• Implement programs to meet regulatory obligations while minimizing disruptions.
• Leverage GIS data for spatial analysis and visualization.
• Monitor day-to-day environmental compliance programs and reporting.
• Develop environmental processes and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
