Job summary

EnSafe is seeking an Environmental Geologist or Engineer (Environmental Project Manager) to join our Long Beach team. You will manage environmental investigations and remediation projects for diverse clients while collaborating with a nationwide group of environmental professionals.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and client service, with relocation assistance available and opportunities for growth within a dynamic ESOP-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Environmental) from ABET-accredited college.
• 5+ years of environmental assessment/remediation experience.
• California GIT, EIT, or PG, PE licensure.
• Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Multi-media environmental sampling; PFAS sampling is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight travel.
• Current OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training/certification.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license for project travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee projects involving environmental investigations and remediation.
• Direct technical teams across multiple offices; plan, specifications, and client meetings.
• Communicate with clients, regulators, vendors and subcontractors.
• Develop Work Plans and Sampling/Analysis Plans.
• Conduct site investigations including soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, and vapor intrusion.
• Lead Phase I and II ESAs and interpret data; write reports.
• Evaluate technologies and design remedial/corrective actions.
• Support business development and proposal efforts.
