RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting practice. The role offers opportunities to lead complex projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support growth of geochemistry services.

Open to candidates in the United States and Canada, with flexible remote or office-based work and periodic travel. You will lead geochemical characterization, modeling, and treatment projects while supporting

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Geochemistry, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting
• Demonstrated expertise in managing technical consulting projects
• Excellent technical writing, verbal, and presentation abilities
• Professional Geologist (PG/P.Geo) registration or ability to obtain
• Experience conducting or overseeing predictive geochemical and hydrogeochemical modeling studies

Responsabilités

• Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects
• Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste and water
• Interpret geochemical and environmental datasets
• Conduct predictive geochemical and hydrogeochemical modeling studies
• Oversee laboratory testing programs
• Review analyses and deliverables from staff
• Prepare technical reports and client deliverables
• Ensure technical quality across projects
• Contribute to publications and conference presentations
• Manage projects from initiation to completion with scope, schedule, budget, and quality
