Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to lead our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry practice in North America. You will guide complex projects, mentor teams, and collaborate with experts to deliver innovative solutions for mining and environmental challenges.

Open to candidates in the United States and Canada with flexible options for remote or office work. Periodic travel will be expected to support client engagements and field activities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Geochemistry or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
• Direct lab and field investigations on mine waste and water.
• Interpret geochemical datasets across multiple disciplines.
• Oversee modeling studies and lab testing programs.
• Mentor junior staff and review technical deliverables.
• Prepare client-focused technical and proposals.
• Ensure safety, quality, and project performance.
