Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) in Plano, Texas, seeks a Sr. Project Manager-Genset to lead North American gas engine generator set projects from order intake through installation and handover in a hybrid role.

The ideal candidate will bring at least nine years of project management experience, including six in genset/power systems, with strong skills in scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder communication, plus familiarity with UL, EPA, NFPA, 40 CFR, and NEC requirements.

Qualifications

• Nine years of project management or related technical project execution experience.
• At least six years in gas engine generator sets, engine packaging, power generation, or related infra projects.
• Experience managing customer-facing projects from intake to handover with scope, schedule and budget controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of gas engine sets in North America from order intake through handover.
• Serve as the primary interface with customers, consultants, general/EPC/MEP contractors and internal teams.
• Lead project meetings, report status, escalate issues, and drive timely decisions.
• Ensure customer satisfaction, schedule adherence, quality, and smooth turnover to service/aftermarket teams.
• Maintain governance: execution plan, cost, schedule, risks, change logs, and communication plans.
