Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer in Generator Product Service to act as the technical anchor for customers and global teams. You will own hard problems end-to-end with deep expertise in generator and electrical systems, while mentoring others and promoting technical excellence.

The role involves leading investigations, serving as the technical authority, presenting at events, and contributing to safety bulletins and strategic programs. A strong customer-facing orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but total experience matters most
• 5+ years of generator engineering and technology experience
• Willingness to travel 10–15% domestically and internationally, including short notice

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations from fault identification through CAPA, resolving generator and electrical system issues with fleet-wide impact
• Serve as the technical authority for generator and electrical system designs, coordinating with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and design teams
• Be the face of GE Vernova's technical expertise at customer sites, outages, industry conferences and with commercial teams
• Author and publish Technical Information Letters, PSSBs, PSIBs, and safety alerts to keep customers informed and equipment running safely
• Support strategic programs including service fulfillment and NPI initiatives, communicating progress from plant operators to executives
• Mentor and develop a team of engineers, building capability across the organization
