Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Generator Project Engineer in the United States (New York—Schenectady area) to lead technical project management for generator projects. You will coordinate with customers, EPCs, and multiple engineering groups, drive continuous improvement, and manage change processes to meet contract requirements.

The role requires travel (~10%), strong leadership communication, and a track record in generator project engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a high school diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Project/Design/Field Engineering related to Generator Projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous improvement and act as single point of contact for customer technical inquiries and change requests.
• Drive lessons learned back into design engineering to prevent repeated issues.
• Provide technical guidance to Project Management and Applications Engineering.
• Conduct CKOMs/DLMs with customers and EPCs.
• Review contract documents and communicate project requirements to design teams.
• Assess financial/schedule impacts of scope changes and manage Change Orders.
