Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a senior AI/ML engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI and Generative AI solutions across the enterprise. You will apply cloud-native architectures, work with AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, and RAG pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business value.

The role emphasizes building scalable APIs and microservices, implementing robust testing, and ensuring security and governance standards while contributing to Agile delivery processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, ML engineering, or AI engineering.
• 2+ years deploying, building, or supporting AI/ML or Generative AI in production.
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms, serverless services, APIs, event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and building scalable applications.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, vector databases, or related AI technologies.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work in cross-functional teams.
• Growth mindset and adaptability in fast-changing environments.
• Ability to execute and deliver on planned initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and deploys AI and Generative AI applications.
• Builds AI-powered solutions using cloud-native services and ML frameworks.
• Develops RAG systems including document ingestion, vector search, and embeddings.
• Creates prompts, workflows, and agentic AI solutions.
• Develops APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations.
• Collaborates with product owners, engineers, data/security teams to meet objectives.
• Writes and runs comprehensive tests, debugs, and monitors production performance.
• Participates in model evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Ensures compliance with security, privacy, governance, and Responsible AI standards.
• Documents designs, architecture, and runbooks for knowledge sharing.
• Contributes to Agile/SAFe delivery and continuous improvement.
• Evaluates new AI technologies and cloud services for improvements.
