Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to design, develop, and deploy Generative AI solutions across the enterprise. You will build scalable cloud-native AI applications, leverage AWS Bedrock and Vertex AI, and collaborate with product, security, and data teams to deliver value securely.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, machine learning engineering, or AI engineering experience.
• 2+ years building, deploying, or supporting AI/ML or Generative AI in production.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and serverless services.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and deploys AI and Generative AI applications using cloud-native services and modern software engineering practices.
• Builds AI-powered solutions utilizing AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, LLMs, and ML frameworks.
• Develops RAG systems including document ingestion, vector search, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines.
• Creates, tests, and optimizes prompts, workflows, and agentic AI solutions with Bedrock Agents and LangChain.
• Develops APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations for scalable AI capabilities.
• Collaborates with product owners, engineers, data and security teams to gather requirements and deliver AI capabilities.
• Writes tests, debugs, conducts code reviews, and monitors production performance.
• Participates in model evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implements security, privacy, governance, and Responsible AI standards (HIPAA) and compliance.
• Documents designs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks; shares knowledge with the team.
• Contributes to Agile/SAFe delivery and continuously improves engineering practices.
