Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an AI/Generative AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI applications across the enterprise. You will leverage AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, and RAG pipelines to deliver scalable, secure AI capabilities while collaborating with product and security teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, machine learning engineering, or AI engineering experience.
• 2+ years building, deploying, or supporting AI/ML or Generative AI in production.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including serverless services, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and scalable application development using modern practices.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and deploys AI and Generative AI apps using cloud-native services.
• Builds AI-powered solutions with AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, and ML frameworks.
• Develops RAG systems including document ingestion, embeddings, and vectors.
• Creates prompts, workflows, and agentic AI solutions with modern frameworks.
• Develops APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations across platforms.
• Collaborates with product, data, security, and business stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Writes tests, debugs, reviews code, and monitors production reliability.
• Participates in model evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Implements AI with security, privacy, governance, and HIPAA considerations.
• Creates architecture diagrams, runbooks, and documentation; shares knowledge.
• Participates in Agile/SAFe delivery, planning, estimation, and improvement initiatives.
• Evaluates new AI tech and cloud services to improve solutions.
