Lead strategic plans, counsel leaders, coordinate with government affairs and operations, and support emergency communications during drills and real events, while building lasting relationships with media and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or 12 years in lieu of the degree.
• 8+ years in communications, journalism or related field.
• Strong written and oral communication; able to work across units.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Ability to build relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Effective across levels of the organization and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary communications advisor to assigned sites and leaders.
• Develop and execute strategic communications plans to advance business priorities.
• Counsel leaders on messaging, employee communications and reputational risk.
• Anticipate issues and develop proactive communications strategies and responses.
• Build relationships with local, regional and trade media; develop media strategies and materials.
• Represent Communications in cross-functional planning related to major projects and milestones.
• Coordinate with regional engagement to inform site employees.
• Support Emergency Response communications during drills and actual events.
• Represent and back up Generation Communications leadership as needed.
