Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. is seeking a Casualty Claims Consultant to oversee General Liability Bodily Injury claims arising from retail operations.

You will direct the TPA, manage high-exposure matters, and coordinate with in-house counsel, defense counsel, and internal partners to drive timely, accurate outcomes. The role requires 4+ years in GL BI claims, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to handle complex claims while maintaining confidentiality in a cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of General Liability Bodily Injury claims experience, preferably in retail or high-volume environments.
• Analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation capabilities with proven experience resolving complex claims.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment consistent with policies, procedures, and laws.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for working with TPAs, legal counsel, carriers, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the TPA responsible for General Liability Bodily Injury claims, ensuring compliance with guidelines, reserving practices, and performance expectations.
• Monitor reserves, payments, and claim trends; identify opportunities to improve outcomes and reduce costs.
• Conduct claim reviews, audits, and quality assurance activities to maintain accuracy, consistency, and service excellence.
• Manage high-severity, complex, or litigated claims within settlement authority.
• Coordinate incident reporting, evidence preservation, video capture, and early investigation; support protected investigations when needed.
• Serve as primary contact for insurers, adjusters, defense counsel, and internal partners across Operations, Legal, Risk Management, and other departments.
